The IBSA Powerlifting Committee has announced that it will not be possible to host powerlifting and bench press world championships this year.

Despite strenuous efforts to identify a host for the event it has proven impossible to find one, so the committee is now focussing on seeking a host for the championships in 2018. 

IBSA member countries interested in hosting the 2018 world championships are invited to send bids and applications to Mr Nezam Dodel, chair of the IBSA Powerlifting Committee, at [email protected].
