The IBSA Showdown Committee is hoping for a high level of participation from European countries in the showdown tournament at the 2019 European Para Youth Games.

A minimum of 4 nations entering 1 team per nation is needed to ensure the viability of the showdown tournament, which is an exhibition event at EPYG2019 and is on the progamme for the first time. Single events and team events are scheduled.

The 2019 European Para Youth Games will take place in Pajulahti, Finland, from June 25th to 30th. They are organised by the European Paralympic Committee and hosted by the Finnish Paralympic Committee and the Pajulahti Olympic and Paralympic Training Center.

Judo and goalball are full sports on the programme, while showdown features as an exhibition sport.

The championships are open to male and female athletes between the ages of 13 and 23. Participants must be born between 01.01.1996 and 31.12.2005. The age will be considered as of 31st December in the year of competition.

The IBSA Showdown Committee urges all IBSA member countries in Europe to enter its youth teams in the competition as it is a vital tournament for the future of the sport.
