IBSA Showdown has released its latest world rankings with Finland’s Jaana Pesari and Slovenia’s Peter Zidar leading the women’s and men’s tables, respectively.

Pesari sits top with 1,740 points following her win at the biggest competition in the sport’s history in April. The fantastic Finn took victory in Tirrenia, Italy, over teammate Hanna Vilmi who is currently second in the rankings with 1,400 points.

Poland’s Elzbieta Mielczarek is just 20 points behind in third with 1,380.

Zidar’s lead in the men’s was reduced after he finished second to Poland’s Krystian Kisiel in Terrenia. However with a buffer of 500 points he is still the world ranked No.1 ahead of Adrian Sloninka (1,120), also from Poland, and Kisiel (1,116).

Athletes are currently preparing for the 2018 IBSA Showdown European Championships in Warsaw, Poland, from 21-27 August.

IBSA Showdown has also published the results of a variety of national tournaments that have taken place so far in 2018 in Russia, Italy, Belarus, Slovenia, Germany, France, Finland and Czech Republic.
