The following specialists were appointed as the new Heads of Classification for IBSA:

  • Filip Beranek (Czech Republic)
  • Rokiah Omar (Malaysia)

“These leaders bring a wealth of experience and expertise to their roles, and each will contribute to the global development of the classification system within IBSA. These appointments reflect IBSA’s commitment to maintaining the highest classification standards and ensuring the system aligns with international best practices,” said IBSA Vice President, Joe Walsh.

Additionally, the newly appointed leaders will work closely with the IBSA Administration, ensuring a comprehensive approach to the development and implementation of classification procedures, as well as improving internal coordination and regulation within the organization.

As Heads of Classification, Dunera Ilako, Filip Beranek, and Rokiah Omar will oversee the implementation of IBSA’s classification policies, provide strategic leadership in the classification process, and ensure fair and accurate assessment of athletes participating in IBSA-sanctioned events.
