Host Application Requests for Continental Championships in Tenpin bowling for 2022 kicks off
Date: April 6, 2022
Category: Tenpin Bowling
The IBSA Tenpin bowling Sports Committee is looking for potential candidate countries to host continental major events in 2022. Proposals for application requests are valid for these continents: Asia together with Oceania, Europe, Africa and North and South America.
The aim is to develop Tenpin bowling within IBSA to become another Paralympic sport for VI in the future: the World Championships is planned for 2023.
Requirements for hosts:
IBSA member countries in good standing only;
No 3rd party organisations representing any countries for hosting will be considered – only member organisations;
Only 15-lane bowling centres are accepted for consideration;
A preliminary budget of the event and expected entry fee policy must be included;
Good travel connection services are required;
Any experience in hosting Tenpin bowling events in the past could be helpful.
The above-mentioned championships will be open to all VI athletes that are ISAS licensed by IBSA member countries in good standing. We prefer to host all the events in the 4th quarter of 2022, hopefully when current world pandemic and political situation gets any better.
First round of Host applications will be open until 30th April 2022. Any possible candidates will be closely reviewed by the IBSA Tenpin bowling Sports Committee members.
The best candidates will advance into the second round of application proposals and the final results will be published by June the 30th 2022 the latest.
