Date: December 10, 2023
Category: Goalball
The 2023 IBSA Goalball African Championships started today in Cairo, Egypt, with continental qualification to Paris 2024 on the horizon. Two national teams (one of men and one of women) will get their tickets to the next Paralympic Games.
The first match between the host team and Ivory Coast already took place at the Hassan Moustafa Sports Hall this night in Cairo, with Egypt starting 11-1 in the final score.
The all-time African champion Algeria, in both genders, will only get into action this Monday, and the question remains: will Africa have a new continental champion? Follow the road to the finals on Thursday.
