The men’s Goalball national team of Iran and the women’s Goalball national team of China are the new Asia/Pacific champions! Both squads also secured their slots for Paris 2024.

The 2023 IBSA Goalball Asia/Pacific Championships that took place at the Zhejiang Tangqi Goalball Training Base in the city of Hangzhou, China, came to an end, celebrating the continental titles.

The Iranian men’s team was very careful about its last chance for Paris 2024 and, in the final, defeated the Korean opponent with five goals from Hasan Jafari and four from Nematolah Sarafraz.

The Chinese women’s team, which already won the 2023 IBSA World Games in Birmingham, UK, repeated the victory at home, this time against Japan, with six goals from Chunyan Wang and one from Miao Xu.

The bronze medals went to China (men) and Korea (women).
