Get involved: goalball performance of another kind

Date: November 26, 2014

Category: Goalball

Are you a goalball athlete or referee at any level wanting to perform on the world stage? Are you willing to be involved in an artistic performance like no other? Then here is a chance for you.

Aurora is not only the name of our referee’s coordinator but also the name of an upcoming performance by Alessandro Sciarroni based on goalball.

Further Sciarrroni is looking for 6 goalball players and two referees to be involved in this once in a lifetime opportunity. It doesn’t matter what level you play or referee at, if you are interested we encourage you to contact the organisers.

The performances are scheduled for autumn 2015 and will take place in different European countries.

Those who are involved will be part of an intensive workshop session to take place this European spring.

Aurora is the third part of a trilogy called "Will you still love me tomorrow?" It concentrates on aspects of concentration, effort and endurance; three vital elements in the sport of goalball.

Sciarroni is one of the most established artists currently working in Italy. He combines theatre, dance and performing art to try and make something between them all. His work has been performed not only in Italy and 21 other countries in Europe but also South America and the Middle East.

If you would like more information or you are interested in participating, please contact either Sergio Lo Gatto on [email protected] or Damien Modoloon [email protected].
