China holds first national showdown championships

China is one of the latest countries to join the IBSA Showdown family, and after two years of promoting the sport it is now played in over five provinces. Ten cities now have their own showdown club.

The first national Showdown Training Course & Competition in China took place on August 24th and 25th in Jiangsu Province. The event attracted more than ninety people with visual impairments as well as teachers from blind school or chairs of associations for the blind in many provinces and cities.

The training course and competition were hosted by China Disabled Person's Federation and sponsored by the Chinese Asscociation for the Blind and Jiangsu Association for the Blind.
