Canadian teams on top in Montreal

Last weekend the 15th edition of the Montreal Open Goalball Tournament was held. This year, 16 teams from the USA and Canada competed. Despite good representation in both categories from each country, it was Canadian teams who won gold in the male and female divisions.



On the men’s side, there were teams from Georgia, New-York, Michigan, California, Delaware, Nova Scotia, British-Colombia, Alberta, Ontario and Quebec. On the women’s side, there were teams from Georgia, British-Colombia, Nova Scotia, Alberta, Ontario and Quebec.



On the women’s side, it was Harlequins from Ontario who defeated Firebolts from Georgia 6-2 to take the victory. The men’s team from British Columbia won the gold medal. They defeated the moneymen from Delaware 5-1. The women from British-Columbia and the men from Nova-Scotia won the bronze medal. The best scorer on men’s side is Bruno Haché from Quebec and on women’s side it is Amanda Dennis from Georgia.
