She has been the reigning German Champion for men and women three times in a row. Antje Samoray is an exceptional player and is ranking amongst the top 5 female players in Europe and so far the German male competition was not good enough to beat her.
This year, though, she found a much harder tournament and there were many close matches. In the end, Antje faced Benjamin Neue in the finale – and lost. However, no tears were shed in Frankfurt because she is still the best woman and the new German cross-gender Champion is… her boyfriend.
