Showdown Top Twelve in Poland update

Results are in from the IBSA Showdown Top Twelve tournament, held in Wroclaw, Poland, last weekend.

The tournament brings together the best twelve male and female showdown players for an end-of-year head-to-head competition. This year's event was hosted by START, the Polish Sports Association for the Disabled.

In the men's event IBSA European Champion Peter Zidar from Slovenia showed once again he is the man to beat, taking the gold medal. Adrian Sloninka (Poland) and Ari Lahtinen (Finland) won silver and bronze respectively.

The same countries came top of the women's tournament, with Finland's Jaana Pesari winning gold, Elzbieta Mielczarek from Poland coming second to take silver, and Slovenia's Tanja Oranìc finishing in third place.
