IBSA Goalball world rankings – November update

Date: November 10, 2014

Category: Goalball

Above you can find the links to the IBSA Goalball world rankings as of the end of October, 2014.

The only tournament to have had impacted the rankings this month is the Incheon Asian Para Games.

Men
Once again there has been a bit of shuffling at the top. Lithuania has once again moved up and this time to number two in the world. Taking the next step may be a challenge though because Brazil is far ahead of any other team.  The Czech Republic is now rounding off the top five after another rise from them. After falling out of the top 10 last month, Algeria are back again at 7.

Ukraine and Qatar are both back into the top 20 at 15 and 16 respectively. They filled spots in the top 20 that were vacated by Slovenia and Iraq.

Women
There was also a bit of shuffling between the female top 10.

Canada moved back up a spot to 6 leaving Turkey back at 7.  Meanwhile Guatemala dropped back to 10 resulting in Finland and Israel moving up one spot to 8 and 9 respectively.

Looking beyond the top 10, following a rather big drop last month, Great Britain will be happy to be back up at 13 from 19.
