Today sees the opening of the IBSA Showdown European Championships in Haninge, Sweden. The event kicks off this evening with the opening ceremony at the compeition hoitel before the games begin tomorrow motning at 08:00.

Thirty-three men and twenty-four women representing 12 countries are set to compete in the European Championships. In addition to the individual events in the men's and women's categories there is a team competition.
