West Asia Para Games hosts goalball

Six teams competed at the 2019 West Asia Para Games in Amman, Jordan, from 15-22 September.
The Games provided a platform for goalball in the region as it did at the first edition in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Competition was hosted in the Prince Ra`ad Bin Zaid complex as men’s teams from Qatar, Iraq, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Oman and the UAE went for the title.
Qatar topped the podium after beating Iraq 9-7 in the final. Hosts Jordan secured third place with an 11-3 victory over Saudi Arabia.
Oman and the UAE occupied fifth and sixth place respectively.
International Paralympic Committee President, Andrew Parsons, presented the medals.
The 2019 West Asia Para Games featured a total of more than 600 athletes from 12 countries.
