Visually impaired athletes take part in Myanmar ASEAN Para Games

The 7th ASEAN Para Games opened yesterday in Naypyidaw, the capital of Myanmar, with a spectacular opening ceremony in the Wunna Theikdi Sports Complex.
Around 1 800 athletes from 11 South-East Asian countries are expected to attend. Countries taking part are Brunei, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, Laos, Indonesia, Singapore, Philippines, Vietnam, Timor Leste and Myanmar.
Blind and partially sighted athletes are set to compete in four of the twelve sports on offer at the games – goalball, swimming, athletics and football.
