Update from the IBSA Powerlifting Subcommittee

IBSA Powerlifting has kicked off the new year with a flurry of activity. Here's an update from the committee on recent developments in powerlifting for the visually impaired:

1 IBSA world record standards. The record standards have been updated and they are now available here.

2 Full results from the 2012 IBSA World Bench Press and Powerlifting Championships and the Pan-American Powerlifting Championships, held in Orlando (USA), are now posted on this web site. Click here to visit the Powerlifting results section.

3 The 2013 International Powerlifting Federation Technical Rules are now available on this web site. Click here to view or download the rules.

4 IBSA Powerlifting has released a ruling on allowable equipment in IBSA-sanctioned competitions. The rules, applicable as of January 1st 2013, can be viewed and downloaded here.

5 The 2013 IBSA World & Asian Powerlifting & Bench Press Championships will be held in Beijing, China, from September 5th to September 14th. Further information and entry forms are available on www.ibsapowerlifting.com.
