After two days' play at the IBSA Goalball World Youth Championships in Hungary, teams are beginning to book their slots for the next round of the competition.

In the women's competition, Group X sees Russia unassailable at the top with three wins from three matches. Australia sit second on six points and the USA is third on four.

In Group Y, Brazil's women's team is proving to be too strong for the oppositition and is sitting on maximum points. Israel is second and South Korea and hosts Hungary third and fourth respectively.

In the men's competition, in Group A, the USA has had a clean sweep of victories to lead the table on nine points, followed by Sweden and Russia (both 4). 

In Group B, again it is Brazil on top and Israel second, with South Korea, Poland and Spain trailing in third, fourth and fifth place.
