The IBSA Blind Football Sports Committee is proud to announce the list of names of the selected Technical Officials for the 2023 IBSA Partially Sighted Football World Championship.

The team will include 12 male IBSA Technical Officials, from nine different countries, appointed based on their quality and performances at IBSA tournaments, as well as at other international and domestic competitions in recent years.

“The selected Technical Officials represent the highest level of refereeing worldwide,” said Toni Lehtinen, IBSA Partially Sighted Football Referee Coordinator.

These Technical Officials will participate in several online seminars before their trip to the World Championships. They will review and analyse video clips of real match situations to have common interpretations, and they will also hear the National team coach´s perspective on the game. The goal is to have the best possible preparation conditions until the ball starts rolling in Birmingham.

“We are announcing these selections in advance because we want to work even harder with all those who have been appointed for the IBSA Partially Sighted Football World Championships. The message is clear: don’t rest on your laurels; keep working hard and prepare yourselves very seriously for the World Championships,” said Toni Lehtinen.
