The IBSA Football Committee is delighted to announce that registration is open for the Women’s Blind Football Camp and Tournament in Hereford, Great Britain, in July.

The camp and tournament are set to take place at the Royal National College for the Blind in Hereford, which has played host to many major blind football events including the 2010 IBSA Blind Football World Championships and the 2015 IBSA Blind Football European Championships.

This event is part of the committee’s development project in Europe, which receives support from UEFA. As a result, while we welcome applications to participate from all parts of the world, priority will be given to European applicants.

This event is open to visually impaired female players, female and male coaches, referees, guides, support staff, etc., from all IBSA member countries worldwide. While open to both sexes, we strongly encourage countries to register female participants.

IBSA will cover the cost of local transport, accommodation and meals for all participants from Europe, while those attending from outside Europe will be asked to cover their own expenses (see info package and entry form).

Dates: Monday 19th July to Friday 23rd July 2021.

Provisional programme:

• Monday 19th – arrival all participants
• Tuesday 20th – training camp
• Wednesday 21st – training camp
• Thursday 22nd – tournament
• Friday 23rd – departure all participants

The dates for the camp and tournament are at present provisional due to the current COVID-19 pandemic and the event will be sibject to strict protocols set out nationally and by IBSA.

Participants are asked to register their interest at this stage by completing and returning the expression of interest form at the end of the information package, but not to make any travelling arrangements until the final dates are confirmed.

Confirmation of the event will be given after careful consideration of the situation and the policies in place at the time by IBSA and the English FA. The organisers reserve the right to postpone the camp and games to a later date if postponement is deemed necessary and appropriate.

Applicants will be informed during the first week of May if the event can go ahead on the scheduled dates.
