Results are now available from the 2013 IBSA World Showdown Championships, held last week in Kamnik, Slovenia, and hosted by the Sports Federation for the Disabled of Slovenia – NPC Slovenia.

A total of 59 players representing 12 countries took part in the championships, and hosts Slovenia took the team event ahead of strong competition from Finland in second place and Sweden in third.

Slovenia also took gold in the individual men's event, Peter Zidar topping the table from Leander Sachs (Netherlands) and Juha Oikarainen (Finland).

In the women's competition Jaana Pesari from Finland was crowned world champion ahead of Jana Führer (Slovenia) and Mariah Sethsen (Sweden).
