Second Chance at Feedback for IBSA Goalball New Rule Proposals

Date: August 24, 2016

Category: Goalball

Last month the IBSA Goalball Sub-Committee introduced the proposals for changes to the IBSA Goalball Rules and Regulations for 2018 – 2021.

A summary of the new proposals from last month and the suggested amendments to those proposals can be viewed from the attachment with this article.  Any changes to the proposals can be identified when you see ‘July’ and ‘August’ above the rule number.  The ‘July’ rule is the old proposal and the ‘August’ rule is the proposed change.

There have been some suggestions that we have not agreed to.  All respondents have been written to explaining the reasons and rational for not accepting the suggestions.

IBSA Goalball will continue meeting regularly to discuss the feedback in an effort to clean and straighten out the proposals before the testing period commences in January of 2017 for the on court rules of the game (Part A).  Regulations from Part B will continue to receive feedback until later in 2017.

Feedback should be sent directly to the Regulations Co-Ordinator at [email protected].  We will continue to analyse and display the feedback each month before sending out a revised version of the proposals.

The IBSA Goalball Sub-Committee would like this process to be as transparent as possible and we also realise that it is the players and coaches who have the greatest influence on how the game is played.

Your feedback is especially important to us.
