Romania wins IBSA Blind Football European Qualifier and Division 2 Championships

Hosts Romania overcame Georgia on Saturday to win the IBSA Blind Football European Qualifier and Division 2 Championships in Bacau.

A single goal from Botez was enough to give Romania the title in a close final.

Romania and Georgia both qualify for the IBSA Blind Football European Championships in Berlin in August.

In the match for 3rd-4th place, Greece was too strong for the Czech Republic and ran out winners by five goals to two. Siotas [3], Chatziapostolidis and Bezhani were on the mark for the Greeks and Valer scored both Czech goals.

Albania won its first ever international match 1-0 against Ireland to secure 5th place.
