It was Goldball glory for Lithuania (men) and Turkey (women) yesterday at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.

Lithuania defeated the United States 14-8 in the men's final while Turkey saw off a strong challenge from China (4-1) in the women's final.

Brazil took bronze in the men's event after a close-fought 6-5 victory over Sweden, but the hosts couldn't repeat the feat in the women's tournament and it was the United States who came away with bronze, defeating Brazil 3-2 in another very tight fixture.
