The IBSA Football Committee has opened registration for its women's blind football event in Vienna, Austria, in May 2017.

The training camp and tournament will be held in the Austrian capital from Wednesday May 3rd to Sunday May 7th 2017. It is the main event in the UEFA-backed IBSA Blind Football Development Project Europe for the season 2016-2017.

The provisional programme for the event is as follows:

Wednesday May 3rd – arrival all participants
Thursday May 4th – training camp
Friday May 5th – training camp
Saturday May 6th – tournament
Sunday May 7th – departure all participants

Training will be under the supervision of qualified and experienced blind football coaches and referee training will also be provided.

The event is open to blind female players and female and male coaches, referees, support staff, etc., from all IBSA member countries worldwide. While open to both genders, we encourage countries to register female participants.

Participants from Europe will be provided local transport, meals and accommodation free of charge, and only need to cover their own travelling expenses. Participants from outside Europe should contact [email protected] for more information.

The registration period is open until Wednesday February 1st 2017.

The training camp and tournament are run in partnership with Para Sports Austria and ASKÖ Sports Club.

If the event is over-subscribed, the IBSA Football Committee reserves the right to limit the number of participants from each country.

IBSA Blind Football is also happy to acknowledge support from Handi Life Sports, which has agreed to supply blind footballs free of charge for the event.
