Referees wanted for goalball Asia-Pacific Championships

The International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) Goalball Committee is inviting referees interested in officiating at the upcoming Asia-Pacific Championships in Asan, South Korea, to register their interest.

The competition, which will take place from 21-31 March 2022, will see men’s and women’s teams go for the title and spots at the 2022 IBSA Goalball World Championships.

Level II and Level III referees who are interested in overseeing the games should contact [email protected] and [email protected] by 31 January.

Asan 2021 – so called because it was originally scheduled to take place last year – will be the second major competition of 2022. It follows the 2022 IBSA Goalball Americas Championships in Sao Paulo, Brazil, from 15-22 February which was also postponed.

Both competitions will see teams qualify for the Worlds taking place in Hangzhou, China, from 6-18 June.

European and African Championships took place in November and December 2021, respectively.
