This Monday I met with IBSA’s seven sport chair persons for an online discussion. As with the announcement about the athletes’ voice in IBSA decision making the sports were similarly enthusiastic about the ideas & plans I expressed. The most significant change will be the appointment of a Director of Sport who will meet regularly with the group and bring the outcomes of those meetings to the Executive Board to influence future IBSA strategic planning. The athletes and their sports are the life blood of IBSA. I have promised they will have the voice too long denied them.
