Paris 2024 Qualification Regulations released by IPC

Date: August 30, 2022

Category: Blind football

The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) just released the Qualification Regulations for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.

These Regulations describe in detail how athletes and teams can qualify for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games in each of the twenty-two (22) sports on the Games Programme, which will involve 4400 athletes for 549 medal events (271 male; 235 female; and 43 mixed).

IBSA is the only international federation with three sports in the Paralympic Games family, with Blind Football, Goalball, and Judo.

January 1st, 2022, marked the beginning of the qualification period. For that reason, results attained before this date cannot be considered for qualification to the Paralympic Games. August 4th, 2024, is the deadline for the sports entries.

The Qualification Regulations can be downloaded here, and the specific IBSA sports regulations – including qualification systems – can be found at:

Blind Football – page 42 to 45
Goalball – page 69 to 73
Judo – page 74 to 77
