November’s goalball world rankings feature moves for Asian, Oceania teams

International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) Goalball has published November 2018’s world rankings, featuring advances for teams from Asia and Oceania.

In the women’s, whilst the top 10 ten remains unchanged, Thailand now sit in 17th – a three place improvement on their ranking from October.

That pushes Finland, Sweden and Guatemala down one place each.

Paralympic champions Turkey, China and Brazil hold the respective first, second and third positions.

The Finnish men fared slightly better, breaking into the top 10 from 11th. Algeria drop two places to 12th but Japan gain one to now sit 13th.

Australia also enter the top 20 for the first time since May 2018.

Paralympic champions Lithuania, Germany and world title holders Brazil remain the top three.
