Ninepin Bowling: Shining Elena in the 21st European Championships

The Serbian city of Apatin hosted the 21st edition of the IBSA Ninepin Bowling European Championships. The competition reunited 87 athletes from nine countries and promoted Elena Negrilsecu as a shining star. The Romanian B1 player won four gold medals: team women, B1 single classic, B1 combination, and B1 mix tandem.

Actually, Romania was the most medaled country with six podium positions, most of them by women: team women, single classic and combination for B1 andĀ for B2 women, and mix tandem B1.

The majority of the medals were conquered by two countries, with the biggest delegation of players (14), Poland and Croatia. Poland won 16 medals in total (five gold) and Croatia won 17 medals (also five gold). Of the total of nine countries, seven of them won a medal at the 2022 IBSA European Championships.
