Goalball teams from throughout Central America recently competed at the 2018 Para Pan Central American Goalball Championships held in Managua, Nicaragua 23-28 January.  After 6 days of intense competition, the Nicaraguan men and women didn't leave their local fans disappointed as both teams took top honours in their respective categories. 

Julio Pantaleon (Guatemala) earned the men's top scorer title amassing 40 goals during the competition.  Nicaragua's Vanessa Benavidez tallied 29 goals, clinching the women's title.
