Date: February 8, 2017

Category:

The IBSA Medical Department has updated the IBSA Medical Diagnostics Form (MDF). The new form came into force on February 1st 2017 and all IBSA member associations are requested to use it from now on.

The new form can be downloaded here or on the links above.

We remind IBSA member organisations that this form must be completed and certified by a registered ophthalmologist and uploaded on the IBSA Sport Administration System at least six weeks before an athlete is scheduled to undergo sight classification at an IBSA competition.

Athletes are also required to show the original of the MDF when undergoing classification. It must not date from more than 12 months before classification. Additional medical reports may be added to the MDF for clarification.

Athletes who do not comply with these procedures will not be accepted for sight classification at IBSA competitions, and will not be eligible to compete.

For any queries regarding the form please contact [email protected]. For any queries regarding ISAS please contact [email protected].
