In the General Assembly last August in Copenhagen the new constitution was, in principle, approved by the IBSA Membership. This draft constitution replaced the old Statutes and this renewal was needed to support to move the legal domicile of IBSA from Spain to Germany.

In the last few months an ad hoc committee has reviewed the constitution, recently it was communicated with the members, and a few other improvements were added. The committee has tried to establish a ‘lean’ constitution.

Other rules and regulations will be part of the bylaws and other documents. After the final check with German legislation and final approval the Constitution will again provide a solid basis for IBSA to work on.

The Committee will continue its work with the renewal of the bylaws.
