Mali and Morocco to meet in Blind Football African Championships final

In a repeat of the 2017 final, Morocco and Mali will meet later today in Enugu, Nigeria, to decide who takes the African blind football title.

The final of the 2019 IBSA Blind Football African Championships in Enugu will see the reigning champions, Morocco, face title contenders Mali for the trophy and a place at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.

Mali was the first of the two to reach the final, putting an end to Nigeria's dreams of glory on its international debut and running out 6-0 winners against the hosts in the semi-final yesterday.

In the second semi-final, Morocco eased past fancied team Ivory Coast 4-0 to book its slot in the big match.

Morocco and Mali will meet today at 15:00 local time to decide the title, and the 3rd-4th place play-off between Ivory Coast and Nigeria will be at 13:00.

In yesterday's early match, the play off for 5th and 6th place, Cameroon defeated Egypt by 3 goals to 1.

The 2019 IBSA Blind Football African Championships are hosted by the Bina Foundation.
