Lithuania to host various blind sports events

It's set to be a busy year for blind and partially sighted athletes in Lithuania, and for the Lithuanian Blind Sports Federation and Lithuanian Paralympic Committee, as the Baltic country prepares to host a number of international events in three different IBSA sports:
International Braille Chess Tournament
The tournament is to commemorate the 65th anniversary of chess for the visually impaired in the country. It will be held in Vilnius from May 5th to 14th.
Lithuanian Open Goalball Championships 2017
The championships will take place in two stages – phase 1 on April 22nd and 23rd, and stage two on July 1st and 2nd.
The event is open to a limited number of teams from abroad ands the deadline for entry is March 15th. Click on the link above for more information.
2017 International Trakai Goalball Tournament
The tournament takes place in Trakai, close to Vilnius, and the aim is to organise the event every two years at a strategically convenient time prior to the IBSA Goalball European Championships Division A.
The tournament is open to both national teams and clubs. The dates are June 1st to 4th.
Vytautas the Great Vilnius LIONS Club Cup International Goalball Tournament
The tournament will be held in Kaunas between July 20th and 23rd.
International Showdown Tournament
Also in Kaunas, the competition will take place from June 22nd to 25th.
