Judo: First champions in Rotterdam

So it ends the first two days of competition for Judo in the European Para Championships, that are taking place at the Rotterdam Ahoy Sports Hall.
History is being made since this is the first edition of the tournament that gathers 10 different sports and made Alex Bologa, the Romanian judoka, the first gold medalist of the event, who defeated the German Lennart Sass in the first final (J1 -73kg).
“I feel very good. This kind of result gives me a lot of confidence, and I feel like all my hard work has paid off. Paris 2024 is the main goal. The aim of the Paralympics is to get a medal. Of course I would like to be a Paralympic champion, but for me, any medal would be great for sure”, said Alex.
This Wednesday, August 10th, it is time for the teams’ day. The competition begins at 10 am.
