Yutaka Kakinuma 20/10/1946 – 16/09/2019

It is with great sorrow that IBSA announces the death of Yutaka Kakinuma, the Japanese Paralympic Judo Coach.

Yutaka had been coach for the Japanese team since 2014 but had also coached in Kenya, Myanmar and the Maldives. He began his judo career in May 1963, he was a Kodokan 6th Dan and also won the bronze medal at the 5th World Masters Judo championships in June 2003.

Yutaka will be remembered as an excellent coach and a wonderful man who commanded respect wherever he went.
