IBSA has released a set of guidelines to ensure Goalball participants can return to competitions following the COVID-19 pandemic in a safe and secure manner.

The IBSA Goalball back to competition sport guidelines October 2020 are now available on this web site. The document has been developed to support the safe return to IBSA goalball competition activities in response to the public health crisis caused by COVID-19.

Guidelines are set out for all stakeholders including athletes, team staff, officials, volunteers and other staff including spectators (if they are permitted according to local regulations) involved in Goalball competitions to prevent COVID-19 infection. These countermeasures are also intended to support event organisers and, therefore, all IBSA-sanctioned competitions must be operated according to these guidelines.

IBSA is currently working on similar regulations for other sports, including blind football and judo, which will be published when finalised.
