IBSA President attends international seminar for blind sports development in Korea. to Seoul, South Korea, last month to attend and address the 2011 International Seminar for Blind Sports Development,

IBSA President Mr. Michael Barredo travelled to Seoul, South Korea, last month to attend and address the 2011 International Seminar for Blind Sports Development, which was attended by over 150 people.

Also present at the seminar, hosted by the Korea Blind Union(KBU) and the Korea Blind Sports Association(KBSA), were IBSA Futsal Chairman Carlos Campos and IBSA Tenpin Bowling Chair Toshiaki Aomatsu.

Mr. Barredo presented a report entitled ‘IBSA 30 Years and Beyond’ at the seminar, which was based on the theme ´The blind and sports´.

During his visit, Mr Barredo also met with Mr Seok-Yong Yoon, President of the Korean Paralympic Committee(KPC) and Korea Sports Association for the Disabled(KOSAD), to discuss strengthening the relationship and partnership between IBSA, the KBU/KBSA and the KPC, as well as working towards further promoting and developing blind sports in the Asian Continent.
