IBSA membership grows thanks to three new countries

IBSA continues to recruit new member countries eager to develop sporting opportunities for their blind and partially sighted populations.

Three new African nations recently joined the federation, taking overall membership up to 134 countries.

IBSA now has 29 member countries in Africa, 24 in America, 30 in Asia, 44 in Europe, and 7 nin Oceania. 

The new arrivals in the IBSA family are:

– Cape Verde – The Paralympic Committee of Cape Verde (Comité Paralympico de Cabo Verde) is led by José Rodrigo Bejarano Restrepo and is based in Praia, the capital of the largest island.

Namibia – The Namibia National Paralympic Committee has its HQ in Windhoek, the capital. Click here to visit the NPC web site.

Sierra Leone –  The National Paralympic Committee of Sierra Leone represents the country. The organisation is based in Freetown, the capital city.
