IBSA meeting with The Nippon Foundation

IBSA Vice President, Ilgar Rahimov, and IBSA Board Member, Eigo Matsuzaki, met with Yōhei Sasakawa, chairman of The Nippon Foundation. The meeting took place in Baku, Azerbaijan.

The parties discussed the prospects for cooperation between IBSA and the Nippon Foundation. Mr. Rahimov and Mr. Matsuzaki spoke about IBSA activities, the planned reforms within the organization, the ideas of the Paralympic movement, including sports for the visually impaired.

During the conversation, plans for further development of IBSA and regional prospects were discussed. IBSA vice president also spoke about his recent visit to Africa and the prospects for the development of sports for the disabled on that continent.

Mr. Sasakawa informed the interlocutors about the activities of the organization which he heads, and about the international projects implemented by the foundation. In particular, about the support from the Paralympic Movement Foundation, paraathletes, the development of an inclusive society, and assistance in the comprehensive development of people with disabilities in various projects.
