IBSA Medical Committee wants your views

The newly formed International Blind Sports Federation Medical Committee is inviting coaches and support personnel to take part in a survey on medical support and health.

The aim is to gain feedback so that the committee can ensure a safe and healthy environment for all athletes across sports.

IBSA Members, Chief Medical Officers and anyone involved in the health and wellbeing of athletes with visual impairments can respond to the questionnaire.

The IBSA Medical Committee is a new committee consisting of doctors, physiotherapists and researchers with experience in sports medicine for athletes with visual impairment.

The committee's principle aim is to provide consistent, evidence-based guidance for the promotion of optimal health and wellbeing in visually impaired athletes.

Dr Richard Weiler, sports medicine physician, Great Britain
Dr Osman Ahmed, physiotherapist, Great Britain
Dr Kristina Fagher, physiotherapist, Sweden
Dr Yetsa Tuakli-Wosornu, scientist at Yale university, USA
Dr Hesojy Gley, medical director Brazilian Paralympic Committee, Brazil
