IBSA Judo Worlds take shape

Preparations for the 2014 IBSA Judo World Championships are well on course to ensure blind and partially sighted judokas are afforded the best possible stage on which to perform and showcase their skills.
The championships will be hosted by USA Judo in Colorado Springs, USA, from September 1st to September 7th, and organisers have now distributed an invitation to compete and first entry form. Click on the link above to view or download the doc.
In their welcome letter and call for nations to take part, joint Tournament Directors Heidi Moore and Ed Liddie say: "We are happy to announce that IBSA Judo World Championships 2014 will be held September 1 – September 7, 2014. We are eager to welcome blind and visually impaired judoka from around the world to the beautiful city of Colorado Springs, Colorado. We are pleased to be able to host this event at the USA Olympic Training Center, a state-of-the-art training and competition venue featuring athlete dorms, a full service cafeteria, and venue with seating for 1500, and new sports medicine and weight training facilities.
We are proud to host this prestigious event, which will be the first qualifying event for the 2016 Paralympic Games. We hope to see you in Colorado Springs in September!"
Participation costs 1 200 US Dollars per person and first entry forms (by number) should be returned to [email protected] by June 1st 2015.
