IBSA Judo World Championships 2014 take shape

The IBSA Judo World Championships 2014, to be held at the US Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs from September 1st to 7th 2014, are shaping up to be a huge success. The championships are organised by USA Judo in partnership with USABA, the United States Association of Blind Athletes.
With the period for first entries coming to a close, 261 judokas from 38 countries have already signed up to compete, with further entries from key countries in the pipeline.
Participating nations now have until Tuesday July 15th to submit their second entries (by name) and transfer entry fees.
Arrival is on Monday September 1st and sight classification and optional training will take place on Tuesday 2nd and Wednesday 3rd. The draw is scheduled to take place on Wednesday evening with competition proper beginning at 09:30 on Thursday 4th and continuing until Saturday 6th with the team competitions.
