IBSA Judo World Championships 2014 set to begin in USA

Athletes and officials are gathering in Colorado Springs, USA, for the IBSA Judo World Championships 2014, the biggest event for blind and partially sighted judokas since the 2012 Paralympic Games in London. Over 230 men and women from all corners of the world have made their way to the Olympic Training Centre in Colorado for the championships.
Sight classsification, training and the technical meeting are scheduled for today, followed by weigh-ins and the draw for the competition proper, which kicks off tomorrow at 09:30 local time.
Tomorrow's competitions are in women -48kg, -52kg and -57kg, and men -60kg, -66kg, -73kg. All events will be held in the main gymnasium of the Olympic Training centre.
The IBSA Judo World Championships 2014 are hosted by USA Judo in partnership with the United States Association of Blind Athletes (USABA).
