IBSA Judo Grand Prix Baku to be broadcast live on Azerbaijan TV

The IBSA Judo Grand Prix 2019 in Baku, Azerbaijan, will be shown live on national television thanks to an agreement signed recently.

A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between the National Paralympic Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Public Television and Radio Broadcasting Company of Azerbaijan. The document was signed by Ilgar Rahimov, President of the NPC, and Balakishi Gasimov, Director General of the Public Television and Radio Broadcasting Company.

The Memorandum of Understanding is related to mutual cooperation between the two institutions and information support, including the exclusive right to broadcast competitions.

According to the signed document, the right to broadcast the IBSA Judo Grand Prix in Baku in May this year was handed over to Public Television. ITV will broadcast the competition live.

On May 13th and 14th Baku will host the Grand Prix for the first time. It offers qualifying points for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games and 250 athletes from 43 countries are expected to participate in the competition.
