IBSA grows in Asia as two new countries join

The IBSA family continues to expand worldwide, with membership applications from two Asian countries recently approved by the IBSA Executive Board.
IBSA is delighted to welcome Macau and the United Arab Emirates to the federation. The two countries join IBSA Asia, bringing the total number of IBSA-affiliated nations in the region to 29.
Asia is IBSA's second largest region in terms of member countries with 29, and only Europe provides more nations – 41. IBSA Americas has 24 member countries while 23 African countries belong to the federation. Finally, Oceania supplies seven countries.
The new member organisation in Macau is the Macau People with Visually Impaired Right Promotion Association.
The new member organisation in the United Arab Emirates is the UAE National Paralympic Committee.
IBSA membership has shown significant growth over the past five years, and in total IBSA now has 124 member nations, a rise of approximately 10%. Click here to view a complete list of IBSA member countries.
