IBSA Goalball seeks hosts for competitions in 2020 and 2021

International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) Goalball has launched a search for hosts for several youth and senior competitions planned for 2020 and 2021.
 
The sport is asking IBSA members to stage youth regional Championships next year and senior regional and youth World Championships in 2021.
 
The youth regional championships would be the first time events of this kind have been held. The last youth World Championships were held in Penrith, Australia, in August this year.
 
Senior regional Championships have also been held in 2019. The IBSA Goalball European Championships (Group A) were held in Rostock, Germany, in October. The Americas Championships took place as part of the Lima 2019 Parapan American Games in August. The Asia/Pacific Championships round-off the year in Chiba, Japan, from 2 December.
 
IBSA Goalball is encouraging bids to host:

  • 2020 IBSA Goalball Youth Regional Championships (under 19s) in Africa, America, Asia/Pacific, and Europe.
  • 2021 IBSA Goalball Regional Championships in Africa, America, Asia/Pacific, Europe (Groups A and C).
  • 2021 IBSA Goalball Youth World Championships (under 19s).

Bids for 2020 and 2021 must be received by 14 January.
