The IBSA Goalball Subcommittee is now accepting applications from individuals who wish to be considered for election as the sport’s athlete representative.

Who is eligible to apply as a candidate?
Athletes, age 21 or older who are registered as a Goalball athlete in the IBSA Sport Administration System (ISAS) and are currently playing Goalball are eligible to apply to be considered as a candidate for athlete representative.  Additionally, any candidate must have written support from their IBSA member federation to be considered for election.

How to apply?
The process is simple. By 15 September 2022, eligible candidates can send an email application stating their intent to:  [email protected].
Although there is no application form required, your email should include a short statement of your qualifications and why you believe you would be the right person for athletes to elect as their representative.

How will the election process work?
By 1 October 2022, a list of candidates that meet eligibility requirements will be posted to the IBSA Website.  Actual voting will occur during the 2022 IBSA Goalball World Championships between 5 and 15 December 2022.  Additional details regarding the voting process will be announced along with the final candidate list.
