Japan (women) and China (men) celebrated in Bangkok, Thailand, last weekend after taking gold in the IBSA Goalball Asia-Oceania Championsips 2017.

After beating South Korea 8-1 in Friday's semi-final, Japan were too strong for China and won the final 6-2.

Australia took bronze thanks to a 10-2 victory over Korea.

In the men's championships, Saturday morning's semi-finals saw China crush Australia 10-0. The other semi was a much tighter affair and Iran just pipped Japan to a spot in the final (4-3).

In the final China proved to be too much to handle for Iran, running out 10-2 winners. 

Japan beat Australia 11-3 for the bronze medals.
